Terms of Use

 

 

Order Times

We have a cut off time of 2pm the working day before your catering requirements.  However we understand last minute circumstances do arise, we will do our best to accommodate you. A late fee may apply.

 

Booking and Confirmation

Generally at least a minimum of 2 weeks notice is required for large function. A 50 % deposit is required. We are happy to discuss your requirements inside this period.

 

Payment

Payment is due on a 7 day invoice, unless prior arrangement has been made with management.  All cheques payable to The Silver Platter or payment by direct credit into our bank account.
We accept major credit cards.

 

Minimum Amount of Guests

We prefer a minimum of 10 people for each booking unless otherwise stated on the menu, however we are happy to discuss catering with you for numbers under this.

A surcharge may apply.

 

Food Presentation and Handling

All our food is presented to you on returnable china plates ready to serve. We recommend cold food be refrigerated prior to consumption. All items will be fully cooked.

We cannot take responsibility for food once it has been delivered. Items delivered hot are done so at the customers own risk and are responsibilty of client. 

 

Delivery and Pickup

While we try to deliver as close as possible to your required time, this may not always be possible. We will confirm any change prior to delivery. 

We deliver to your door for a charge of $20 plus gst weekdays, $25 plus gst weekends.

Set up and clean up are extra.

Platters plates etc must be washed stacked and ready for collection, normally the following day.

Missing or broken equipment will be charged directly to the client.

Delivery to the wider Auckland area may incur additional cost. 

 

Event Manager, Waiting Staff

We can arrange staff for you function. Please note staff needs a 3 hour minimum per person.

Some of our menus require onsite staff such as a chef, kitchen assistant etc. Our rate is $30 per hour plus gst.

We will discuss required or suggested staffing when arranging your function.

Recommended staff depends on function, menu, and guest numbers.  

 

Cancellations

Should cancellation occur 2 weeks prior to your function, no charge will be made and deposit refunded. 14 days or less there is a nil refund policy. 72 hours or less the forementioned applies and a cancellation fee will apply.

 

Equipment Hire 

We are happy to hire equipment not owned by The Silver Platter. We will charge an organising fee and pass on the delivery/pickup from the hire company. Any breakages or loss of property

from the hire company will be charged to the client. Please contact for pricing.

 

All prices are gst exclusive unless stated.
